The University of Wisconsin Information Technology Committee (ITC)

The University of Wisconsin Information Technology Committee (ITC) is the faculty advisory body for policy and planning for information technology throughout the University.

ComETS

ComETS includes staff who provide consultations and training, design instructional projects, work at new media centers and multimedia production facilities, and are involved with teaching and learning with technology in ANY way – from consultations to end-user support.

Madison Technical Advisory Group (MTAG)

The M-TAG provides advice and consultation to the UW-Madison CIO Office regarding technical and implementation issues that may have an effect on the department and division IT units.

Primary Tech Partners

The concept of Primary Tech Partners (PTPs) is that there be one (primary) designated technology person in each department who acts as a liaison with DoIT. The typical PTP is an ISP or System Administrator-level staff person, not necessarily an administrator or manager. Those who apply to become a PTP need will need to have their department manager or director confirm them as the department's primary contact. An automated confirmation procedure is included as part of the registration process.
