Campus projects page now has RSS capability
Monday, March 23, 2009
In 2008 the CIO Office began publishing a
Campus IT Projects page to keep campus informed of new and evolving major IT efforts. By definition, projects are limited-term and affect all or significant parts of campus. They include pilot programs, major service launches, software negotiations, infrastructure changes and IT planning efforts.
The page is updated quarterly. With the latest round of updates, an RSS feed has been added so that people who are interested can stay apprised of new and changing projects. The feed will generate content only when "significant" changes have been made to the site, i.e., when new projects are added, timelines of projects are changed, etc.
To subscribe to the feed, go to Campus Projects web page and click on the Project Updates icon in the left menu bar.
To add IT projects to the page, contact meg.mccall@doit.wisc.edu. Projects for this page are most appropriate when they are in the planning or early development phase. Groups on campus want to know early on about new initiatives so that they can plan accordingly or offer assistance, as appropriate.
