Full Description of Project
Rooms 103, 104 and 107 each were outfitted with a 40” LCD monitor, whiteboard, new tables and chairs and a computer. Mounts for the computer and monitors were installed on the wall to allow for easy rearrangement of the rooms. Each room allows for any laptop to connect to the monitor to allow for students to use their own computer to collaborate with others. These rooms were modeled after other successful campus group study rooms.
Equipment: The DoIT Grant Paid for:
- 3 NEC 4010 40” LCD monitors
- 3 Dell GX620 desktop computers
- 3 Peerless PC20 computer stands
- 3 PRO-2045 Fusion lockable wall mounts
The new group study rooms were paid for by the General Library System.
Steenbock Library paid for new rolling tables, chairs and whiteboards for the rooms.
Results
These rooms have become quite popular for both students and staff to use for meetings and individual computer use and have seen substantial use since the new equipment was installed.
