161 free high-definition TV channels available via a free app to anyone on campus with access to UW wifi.

Web conferencing (Cisco Webex)

Cisco Webex is an enterprise solution for video conferencing, online meetings, screen sharing and webinars.

Web conferencing (Zoom)

Zoom is an enterprise cloud platform for video, voice, online meetings, screen sharing, chat and webinars. This enterprise web conferencing and distance learning application runs across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems.

Repair

The DoIT Help Desk offers free software services such as virus detection and removal and operating system re-installs. In addition, if you have a departmentally owned Apple or Dell computer that is in need of a hardware repair, we can facilitate a repair to one of our contract repair service vendors who are Dell and Apple warranty certified.

DoIT’s Microsoft Database Hosting Team provides a wide range of Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) database consulting and hosting options for your application.

Network electronics UPS backup power

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) to support DoIT network electronics for departments that would like to install UPS equipment in their building's wiring closets.

Oracle database hosting

DoIT can host, and help you develop a cost-effective database for your application.

Server administration

Provides applications and systems architecture, design, engineering, and administration services to campus constituents with enterprise requirements. In addition to technical expertise, enterprise system administration provides on-call support, monitoring and event management, 24/7 operations, incident response, and comprehensive IT service management.

SecureBox

SecureBox service provides a free-online file storage and collaboration service to store ePHI.  It is available for UW–‍Madison staff to share ePHI data with collaborators (internal and external to UW–‍Madison) when a departmental solution is not available and the amount of data to be stored is less than 50GB.

Vulnerability scanning

The Office of Cybersecurity's set of tools to perform security scans to reduce IT security risks and supplement existing security practices. Tools include self service options such as the Web Application Scanner.
